How to use Jami in Iran

·SavoirfaireLinux/jami-client-android

Many users believe that Jami lacks the default function of automatically hiding IP addresses, which they consider a flaw. However, I believe this is precisely why Jami can be used in extremely harsh network environments, as it does not require the use of anonymous networks. Similarly, this also allows us, as users, to use this software under the simplest conditions to ensure ultimate security. At least, we can ensure that our communication content is encrypted and relatively secure.

Friends, can you see the link I sent?

Yep, if you mean the link to your old post from 2024.
And I’m definitely +1 for custom bootstrap config easily accessible for editing on Android.
/data/data/… isn’t proper place for users of un-rooted devices, obviously.
Russia is accelerate Iranian way nowadays - so having own bootstrap node becomes really critical point in order to keep trusted folks connected without outer restrictions.
That’s what Jami was created for initially, true?

It’s a matter of one additional Android permission and in-app order of connection attemps, I suppose?
