I made a contact.

I receive his messages.

He does not receive mine.

My messages are “grayed out” when I look at them. Meaning they are a lighter color font.

His are darker (black)

It is a fresh/new installation with defaults.

  • Which version of Jami (can be found in the “About Jami” section") are your using, on which platform?
  • Do you know the version and platform used by your contact?

There is no “About Jami” section. This interface is not standardized at all but I did find an “About” section that says this:

I’m on Linux.

I don’t know what version my contact used. I’ll ask him if we can connect. :slight_smile:

When you send out your messages, is your contact online? The two devices need to be online for messages to be properly sent.

Yes. I can receive his messages in realtime but he does not see my replies.

I found he is using an Android client. Does this help?

@aco Please don’t forget this support request. Jami is not usable if it only works one way.
