Auto popup Jami if not visible

I have just recently started using Jami since Skype is closing down.
I have Jami setup to auto answer incoming video calls which works well.
However, if Jami is minimised, it does not popup to show the video call.
I have this installed for a quadrapegic to be able to talk to her family hands free.
Is there a way for Jami to automatically open when receiving a call or can someone please create an extension that can do this.
Thank you so much and much appreciated.

Does this relate to Jami for Desktop?

Thank you

I (and my family members tested with) are seeing this via Jami for Android. Call audio starts playing through phone on auto-answer of a video call but launching the video call screen requires tapping on the notification shade. We are trying to set up auto-answer for a sight-impaired elderly relative (to replace similar functionality we had with Skype) so it would be great if they didn’t have to pull down the notification and tap to open the video call interface. We tested both with app running in the background and without and have the same experience.

The Jami developers are implementing the requested feature in Jami for Desktop.

Thanks ovari - I’ve created a gitlab account and turned on notifications for the issue, hopefully that’s the right way to do it.

The “Auto popup of Jami if not visible” feature is available in the Nightly 20250510 version of Jami.

  1. Click the “Open settings” button.
  2. Click the “Account” tab.
  3. Click the “Call settings” tab.
  4. Set the “Bring the application to the front for incoming calls” toggle to on as shown in the following image.

Can you please mark this thread as solved?

Kudos to the Jami developers.
