I have been using Jami to chat with myself on different devices, to share info and files.
Recently, this feature is broken. The windows version can receive messages from the iphone version, but the chat has no message input field so I can not send messages back to the iphone. I tried to remove and reinstall and that didn’t seem to solve the problem.
WIndows version and IOS version are both the latest.

Thank you. I just installed and found the new installed version is the same as the one it replaces (202509301457). This explains why the jami’s internal check update returned no new update.
Do you mean that I should try the latest beta version ?
Connect all your devices to the Internet or intranet so that they are reachable to each other.
In the conversation with yourself, save messages that are required.
On the desktop client (for example, Jami for Windows):
(a) Right-click on yourself in the conversations list and select Remove conversation.
(b) In the Confirm action dialog, select Remove.
(c) Right-click on yourself in the conversations list and select Remove contact.
(d) In the Confirm action dialog, select Remove.
Search for yourself in the Search field.
Right-click on yourself and select Delete conversation.
Right-click on yourself and select Leave group.
In the Confirm action dialog, select Leave.
The Jami for iOS should update automatically to show yourself as being removed. If not, repeat the steps to remove yourself from the Jami for iOS client.
Wait a few moments.
To add yourself to Jami for Windows, search for yourself in the Search field.
Click on yourself and then click the call button in the top right to add yourself.
