Continued testing

I hopped back to Jami to see how its developing and checking on its reliability. Have to say so far this week with one exception where I’m not sure whats changed but Jami is a serious contender. It reliably sends messages to group chat member <5 seconds, pictures are reliably sent. Phone/Video calls just work.

There area couple of pointers I have noticed, On the Android client, I get best results all round, setting the connectivity mode to “Local DHT node”. Also Push notifications (use Google servers…) set to “off” - I’m not sure if this can be set as default? Also I was send a screen shot showing 2 pictures failed to download to a test user, we worked out it was possibly due to the handover between 4G mobile data to WiFi - A resend would be a nice option.

I’m starting to roll out a migration plan to Jami from our current messaging solution XMPP.

Can you please document your migration plan?

Would it be useful to add your migration plan to the Jami documentation site?

Thank you

I’m not sure how to upload it to the document site?

Please write the migration steps from XMPP to Jami in this topic. It can be uploaded for you to the documentation website.
