Using Xubuntu 24.04 on a desktop computer, and latest Jami .deb file from their website. When Jami opens for the first time, incoming call does not work. The phone rings and the Jami window opens, but when I click “accept call” the sound fails. I open pavucontrol and it says "establishing connection to pulseaudio, please wait. It stays like this for about 45-60 seconds, and then pavucontrol show normally except that the microphone (Logitech webcam) does not show up under “Input Devices”, and the call disappears from the Jami window. I have to replug in the microphone to get it to show up in pavucontrol. After that, incoming calls work normally for every subsequent call. After closing Jami and reopening it, or rebooting computer, the first incoming call always fails but subsequent calls always work. (Outgoing calls always work from the first.) I think this is a problem with pipewire and the hardware of the desktop. I also have a laptop with Xubuntu 24.04 and Jami works fine in it. Using snap version of Jami gives the same problem. Any ideas?
Okay, I finally found the problem. Jami does not play well with the microphone on the Logitech C920 webcam. So I bought a 3.5mm jack analog microphone and it works properly from the first call.
