Fix Linux Mint support when?

I’ve been trying to use Jami on my machines running Linux Mint for over a year. But the DEB installer still tries to remove system packages. Considering that LM is the top 3 Linux desktops in the world, should this be taken more seriously?

Can you please post a screenshot that shows the system packages that would be removed?

However, many people have installed Jami using the DEB installation file for Linux Mint, and no problems have been experienced.

If you experience problems after installing Jami using the DEB installation file for Linux Mint, please submit an issue at the Issues · savoirfairelinux · GitLab page.

Thank you

It seems that the Jami developers are working on a fix at the https://review.jami.net/c/jami-client-qt/+/31189 patch.

After the patch is merged and a new Jami version is released, please test again.

The changelog should show when a new Jami version is released that includes the fix.
