Hi, I am victim of dating fraud.
For the police I need to export the chat. And if possible also the related files. I can’t find any information on how to do this.
Also, is there any way in Jami for me to retrieve something like an IP address of the purpetrator?
I’m using Jami on my Android (Samsung Galaxy S22) phone and on my Windows 10 laptop.
I’d be grateful for any help.
For the shared files of the chat I found the location on Windows:
C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\jami\randomnumbersandletters\conversation_data\randomnumbersandletters
But where do I find the conversation, with text, dates and times.
Heh, this is probably way too late to help you out, but FWIW, I have found that one very quick and dirty way to get at the messages is to do a “git log --reverse” when in the conversations folder on the desktop version of Jami.
It’s less than ideal, and a plugin would be much better, but it does give you the conversation text (along with a lot of extra stuff I don’t necessarily want) in chronological order.
