Pretty self-explanatory.
We had to change our name after Amazon bought Ring, a manufacturer of home automation and surveillance products.
On top of that, Jami is inspired by jamii, the Swahili word that means community. The name was chosen as it reflects the vision: to be a service open to all, to be community supported, and to respect the privacy of users.
