Hello,

Jami runs on the amd64 architecture. What is the architecture of the Ubuntu Touch phone?
The Apps • Ubuntu Touch • Linux Phone page states:
Run Debian packages in Libertine containers without direct hardware access, even if the app in question doesn’t support Ubuntu Touch permissions.
Visit the following link for the Jami DEB installation files for Debian.
Thanks @ovari . The architecture is arm64.
The main issue with Libertine is that the application cannot run in the background according to the documentation.
The arm64 architecture is not the amd64 architecture.
You can install on ubuntu touch via snapZor and the jami snap package. It will actually run but there are two hurdles to overcome. 1. the characters are way to small for the phone’s display, 2. there is no virtual keyboard. I also want to see Jami working on my ubuntu-touch phone since all my contacts are on Jami.
Nice to hear that there is a workaround. Have you noticed any abnormal battery consumption with this type of installation?
