latest jami app update from fdroid ver 20260213-01 crashing everytime while I was trying to open it.Now I am seeing everyone here reporting it.please review this issue.
Yeah Iâm getting this on my Lineage OS phone. Update from F-Droid hit yesterday, Jami UI doesnât start. I think its still running in the background.
** Make sure youâve backed up your Jami Account **
If youâve installed from F-Droid, you can uninstall (whilst keeping the data), look for Jami on F-Droid, towards the bottom you can see older versions and install it 20260209-01 (the previous working version). Until its fixed I recommend disabling âAutomatically install updatesâ from F-Droid settings else you may find its updated to 20260213-01 overnight!
Ohh can I downgrade it by just installing older jami ver?
And I did not backed up my jami acc!
Thatâs why you should always backup your account!
I canât guarantee youâll be OK - maybe someone else with more experience can confirm.
I confirm. It crashes on Android 15. Installing from FDroid.

20260214-01 is working fine for me. I sometimes get Network Banner if its still connecting or switching from Wifi to 4G. Try restarting the app if it continues
fdroid updated ver 20260220-01
Even with latest update it is unstable and the experience is not smooth,
While calling or while the call recived, the app just stoped workring every time and disconnected and kicked out from the app.
Ive not had that issue.. Iâm currently getting âgroupsâ of messages. Am chatting on the desktop but nothing is coming though on the Android phone until I open the app, I notice the red âNo Networkâ banner briefly so maybe that may be a phone issue
hmmm am sat here with the phone showing the active chat and its not keeping up with the desktop client, bulk updating every 2-3 minutes
