Hi guys,
It’s installed in Flatpak on Linux Mint. I’m spamming the Import button in the “I Already Have An Account” → “Import from Archive”, but nothing happens. Like if the Import button didn’t have a function.
It’s a .jac file I’ve selected with no password.
Any ideas?
It’s a strange question. You can try importing files from other accounts to see if the same situation occurs
I had this happen to me to. I fixed it by switching to a non-flatpak version
I believe there is a bug regarding this. I’m unable to post a report onto GitLab, as my account seems yet to be updated for email OTP (sometime 2026).
OS: Debian 12 and Ubuntu 20.04.4 LTS
Jami: Build ID: 202604031637, “Euclid”
Steps to reproduce:
- Create a backup of Jami profile on any device (Linux or Android in my case) - all devices up to date
- Attempt to import this through Jami version above by:
- add another account / I already have an account / import from an archive backup / select archive / no password required for account / click “import”
- Result: nothing happens
The import process in Android works fine. The fault is in the Linux version.
I’m unable yet to post this onto GitLab as a bug, whilst I await the email OTP roll out for me, so perhaps someone else can. Hope so.
Thanks.
I got hit by this too. It does not appear limited to the Flatpak. I installed a fresh VM and Jami 20260420 from one of the published repos. Same thing. This is all I can get from the logs:
default \[1777486726361\]\[WRN\]\[7f3f1806b340\]: qrc:/wizardview/components/ImportFromBackupPage.qml:204: Error: Invalid write to global property "spinnerTriggered"
I tried to open a bug, but my account is pending approval.
