When I look at the wiki page, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jami_(software)
for Jami it says version 1.42 / August 28, 2019; is the latest.

My Mac is running Version 1.82 (20200928). Is there a site I can get verification of what the latest version?

The Mac App Store page for Jami indicates that 1.82 is indeed the latest version for the macOS client.

I would say probably https://dl.jami.net/mac_osx/. @kateryna would know best.
