Hi there, new to using the product. Our microphone, connected through USB doesn’t seem to be functioning in the Jami app. We are on Windows 10 and use a Logitech C920X Pro HD Camera. The app does detect the webcam as an audio device but our family members can not hear us on audio or window calls. The microphone audio test in settings does not seem move (assuming the bar will grow and shrink) like it does in the windows microphone tester. In Sound Settings under windows the microphone receives audio and tests fine. The Jami app has the camera and microphone access allowed as well. Tried restarting, unplugging the webcam and plugging it back in with Jami shutdown. Any help with testing/getting the microphone to help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for reading.

could be related but no that is not my issue. My audio device shows up as an option and even recognizes it as the default device but no audio is captured by the microphone.

Did you try the beta version of JAMI (Download Jami for Windows) ? I have the C920 under Windows 11 and it works well.

no luck with the Beta release either. Same results. The usb connected microphone is detected within the software but does not pick up any audio in the microphone test and no one can hear us during calls.
Tried reinstalling the usb camera drivers and made sure they were up to date as well
I’m running into a similar problem with a Logitech Brio 4K, Logitech 880 head set USB interface, an MXL 990 through a Behringer UMC204HD USB interface, a Comica BoomX-D wireless mic setup through a Sabrent USB interface, and any other mic I try. Other software sees and records microphone fine, but Jami doesn’t. During calls the other party says they hear nothing but static. I make sure to disable all other microphones and audio devices as I test each mic. Windows 11 on a brand new Dell Precision 3680 with scads of horse power. Your computer isn’t a Dell by any chance is it?
As mentioned: Maybe you need to exit Jami (disable “run in background”) and start Jami again?

Otherwise - as a workaround - you can use Voicemeeter Banana to capture the sound of your webcam and change the audio input device in Jami to Voicemeeter Banana:
Didn’t want to install another piece of software (Voicemeter Banana). Nothing suggested or that I’ve tried will get the microphone on the Logitech to work. I’ve switch to a Microsoft LifeCam instead and it works fine - both video and audio. Thanks for the support, really appreciate it! I’ll continue to update the Jami software as releases are published in hopes the Logitech starts working.
