My Jami account is working fine on my Android phone, but I would like to use the same account on my computer.
When I try to export the account it asks for a password. This password is not known. Is there a mechanism to move the account? Possibly it could be done by copying the related files manually using adb?

If you haven’t set a password, try leaving the password field blank.
I tried it, but get “Incorrect password.”
Does exporting an account as a file work? If you can, you can check if your account is encrypted. It is possible that the password was accidentally entered when the account was created, in which case the password should be very short, you can try brute force cracking, but I don’t know the specific method.
I don’t know enough about the file structure of Jami to do that manually, and the ‘Backup Account’ Settings Option also requires a password.
That would be terrible. It may even be necessary to familiarize yourself with the source code and parse Jami’s internal files next (which is difficult to do on Android).
If you don’t have anything particularly important in your account (such as a registered username), it’s easier to recreate it. It’s a good practice to back up your account as soon as you create it to check if there’s anything wrong.

If you’re using a debug build (not likely), you can use run-as then copy the archive.gz, otherwise you need root.
