I think if jami has a reliable and stable network connection between personal devices (p2p), and at the same time jami has an efficient swarm network that is flexible and responsive to the user’s network needs.
Then jami has a great advantage over any communication software.
The fact that jami doesn’t have to rely on a server is a huge advantage. Any software that relies on a server is bound by the server’s constraints.
