I have a problem, after yesterday’s update (or it’s not related to it), the program on my side started to crash, the other person can see and hear me but I can’t see or hear him.
After digging into the codecs and setting them to the first place: OPUS-audio and VP8 in video, after the automatic refresh of the program the image appears but there is still no sound.
What I tried to do:
I uninstalled and reinstalled the program, I also cleaned the registry with RevoUnistaller;
How many of us now? We don’t count. Dozens at least, dozens!
Welcome to Linux PewDiePie!

I have seen the issue as well, also came with the last update. It was working fine.
Sadly I don’t have a resolution for you yet except to hope they find the bug soon. Definitely file a bug with whatever info you have.
As an aside, to the guy suggesting someone switch their OS because of a bug in a package that is possibly the most idiotic bug fixing advice I have ever heard.
Jami has builds for multiple platforms. If there is an issue on one of the platforms the solution is for the bug to be fixed, not for someone to change their OS, a lengthy and potentially destructive process that is not even the source of the problem.
I video call with my dad a couple of states away. He is 91 years old, jami is a great way to communicate with him. I worked all afternoon, doing the same things you did and was sure it wasn’t either of my or dad’s computers.
Here is what I finely did:
On both my dad’s computer and mine (because we both kept up on the jami updates) we performed the following steps.
I deleted the jami program from windows programs and features.
Installed the earlier version of jami and turned off the auto update reminder.
Started jami up on both sides and everything fired right up like normal.
I’m not to worried about having new updates or new features so we can stay on this version. Maybe I’ll try a little later when there have been a few more updates. Maybe by then jami will have resolved this problem. If not, I know how to revert back to an older working version.
