I have a strange bug with one of my correspondant. I can call him by video and he can call me without any trouble. But we are unable to exchange chat messages. We have another multi-users swarm where we can exchange messages, but not in the direct connection. He is using Windows 11 while I’m on Linux, both using the latest version of Jami. This is really related to this conversation as the others are working without troubles.
Have you ever seen such behavior? How can we reset this conversation so we can use messages in the chat?
We’ve rebooted multiple times because this has been occurring for a long time between these two correspondants.
We haven’t tried a full reinstall after cleaning the two computers. I don’t think it is related to the software installation but more on the accounts, as the other conversations are working without any trouble. Only this one shows the problem that we can’t chat.
We don’t want to recreate the accounts as they are used successfully in other discussions. If possible we’d start resetting totally this discussion.
If it can help debugging Jami and if it helps developers, I can start both sides with logging as this bug is reproducible at will. Just tell we what is required in the Win11 and Linux sides and we’ll try exchanging a few text messages.
