Jami (windows) on LAN

tryin to use jami on a local network (no internet),so i installed jami on 2 windows pc , then i created 1 account at each side (based on IDs), I enabled then local peer discovery, and there is ping between the 2 nodes. then i copied ID1 to client 2 and ID2 to client1.

tried to start a call but always fails saying unreachable peer, and it seems there is no circle on the contact i added.

well yes if u read what i stated, then i did exactly what this documentation says concerning activating jami on a local network, yet it does not work.
of course i did not activate bootstrap because m working on Local peer discovery feature.
yet i failed to make any call or deliver any text message.

Bootstrap server settings

The IP:port of another DHT node can be specified as a bootstrap server.

As an alternative, can you please try to add the IP address and port number of your other computer in your LAN in the bootstrap server settings?

yeah i added bootstrap with port 4222.
nothing new.

tried jami on ubuntu desktop and it worked flawlessly … m going to report issues with windows

Thank you for confirming that Jami works flawlessly on Ubuntu.

For your information, Jami also works flawlessly on Linux Mint.

Thank you for taking the time to report issues with Microsoft Windows. However, please note that if the issues are due to “embrace, extend, and extinguish” (EEE), used internally by Microsoft, it is beyond the scope of any software development team to fix.

Does the information under the Using Jami on a Local Network (LAN) heading in the following Jami survival kit: Internet down? Keep talking! article help?

yes it does. thank you.
yet the main problem was with the application on windows, otherwise the docs were enough.

m sorry but is there a link or a book u recommend for me to understand how jami works? about the architecture of a jami network? that would allow me to build my little jami network with all the servers like jams, jamiNS blockchain, bootstrap…? in case internet went off .. so mainly to work offline
